Just In Thyme Foods was already doing a few things right when it comes to email marketing.  For one, they built their email list over time, adding real customers and prospects who want to hear from them. Their authentic list building efforts not only adhered to mandatory CAN-SPAM Act of 2003, but guaranteed that their target audience would be engaged.

They also delivered valuable information into their email recipients’ inboxes — which meant their emails didn’t get immediatelty deleted before they even got opened.

However, there were several improvements to be made.

They were doing some things the old fashioned way, including sending out emails from their email client (ie. Outlook) vs. using a service geared specifically towards email marketing management that lets you manage contacts, send emails and track results.  For example, MailChimp (our preferred vendor) or Constant Contact are two commonly used providers.

While their emails got delivered when using Outlook, Just In Thyme Foods received no tracking, stats or automation benefits (ie. placing orders online) sending emails the old fashioned way.  They also had very limited design options.

Hammond Media Group cleaned up their never-before-cleaned-up email list, set up their MailChimp account and designed their new email campaigns, including mouth-watering food images to entice the customer to ‘order now.

We’re happy to report that Just In Thyme Foods saw their weekly sales figures triple with the combined launch of their website and new email marketing efforts.
